Our Program

Our two part program is the product of meticulous review by a team of educators and academic professionals and has been built to spark challenging and rewarding discussions among students. The five Voices of America narrative based lessons work in parallel with the Diversity Library to help students observe and appreciate a diverse gamut of cultures and perspectives.

  1. Voices of America Narratives: In each of five lessons, students will explore firsthand accounts of different cultures, communities, and experiences throughout American society and reflect on the importance of empathy and equality. The lessons include background information, discussion prompts, and reflection activities to supplement these narratives. Students will learn to celebrate their own cultures as well as consider the differing customs, values, and stories of their peers.
  2. Diversity Library: We supply each classroom with 10 books for students to further explore the themes of diversity and tolerance, while also giving classes the resources to build a more inclusive array of literature. Our carefully selected titles present stories of people in marginalized communities and highlight historic struggles for equality. In parallel with the Voices of America Narratives, students will learn to appreciate a diverse gamut of cultures and perspectives.
